I took another walk in a neighborhood called Kichijoji. Pretty cute. Cool name as well. Lots of little vintage shops and cafés––I love cafés 🥹––and this fantastic park called Inokashira Park. I wound up focusing on the storefronts with the photography. I will go back to this neighborhood next time.

I tried on some clothes in the vintage shops but still can’t quite get past the idea of wearing used clothing––no disrespect. Like, what happened to the person who originally owned it? Are they okay?

Semi-relatedly, during the trip, I used ChatGPT as a kind of personal shopping assistant. I uploaded photos of stuff I was looking at and trying on, and asked it for feedback. I can be indecisive and also recently had some success doing a similar thing with GPT and furnishing my apartment, so I figured I could do it with clothing. The experiment turned out to be wildly useful. Maybe I could do a write-up about it at some point. For now, here are the photos from Kichijoji.
