I brought a Ricoh GRiii point-and-shoot camera on the trip with me. I hadn’t used it before but I took some photos with it for two days in Tokyo, really enjoyed it, and then it randomly stopped working. Something happened to the lens. Bummer—or maybe for the better? I was just settling into taking on the persona of, like, art-guy who “carries a small piece of Japan in his pocket—or fanny pack—everywhere he goes,” taking shadowy photos for his neat (unusual?) website. Maybe a blessing that this didn’t materialize.
Anyway, despite apparently being fragile, it’s a super cool camera. I’ll get it fixed when I’m back. Here are some of the photos I took while it was working.
