Tim Savas
Hi, I’m Tim.
I’m an engineer based in Chicago. These days I’m at Ferrero, where I run an R&D lab working on new ideas and technologies for the toys inside of Kinder Surprise. It’s a rapid prototyping lab where we turn early concepts into working prototypes.
My background is in applied engineering in research and development. Before Ferrero, I worked as a researcher and engineer at Marine Biological Laboratory, Harvard University, and the MIT Media Lab. My work involved building custom tools for new kinds of scientific experiments, mostly in biology.
Outside of work, I like making things, writing, and open-water swimming. Tokyo is one of my favorite places. I spend time each year there working on personal projects.
